
Digital & Community Outreach Worker
FUNCTION:
The purpose of this position is: to conduct outreach via social media and at appropriate locations in the community; to refer clients to needed services; and to assist clients in obtaining health, housing and social services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Develop, coordinate, and implement digital outreach activities to promote and market program services

Identify appropriate media for digital outreach for each focus population

Conduct weekly outreach to focus populations utilizing Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc

Conduct venue-based outreach as assigned

Provide referrals to MAC services or other services as needed
-
Complete individual level field assessments when appropriate

Must ensure the confidentiality and privacy of all client information in accordance with applicable federal, state, local and grant requirements

Monitor and report all program activities

SKILLS REQUIRED:
-
Comfortable talking about HIV/HCV/STI and related subjects
-
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

Knowledge of social media, including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter

Strong organizational and communication skills

Excellent interpersonal skills
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Knowledge of populations MAC serves
-
H.S. Diploma and experience in social service or related field preferred
-
Experience in HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, and advocacy or related field (i.e. mental health, human services) preferred
